The current information landscape is driven by clicks, pushing all content creators toward the same goal: a viral story. In this environment, where the tenets of ethics and accuracy are sometimes usurped by the need for engagement in the form of follows, likes, and shares, traditional strategies for determining information credibility are no longer sufficient.

Join Darren Hudgins, one of the newly released Developing Digital Detectives (ISTE 2021) coauthors, as he helps attendees unpack two of the four lenses (triggers, access) introduced in the book. During this 45 minute session, he will give the attendees tangible strategies and access to mini-lessons that they can use tomorrow with k12 students to help them tackle the ever-changing mis, dis, mal information landscape of today.
